Would you postpone a baby until you could afford one?

Would you postpone a baby until you could afford one?

How much money do you think it takes to afford a baby? And would you consider postponing parenthood for financial reasons?

My husband and I waited 5 years after getting married - trying to make sure we were ready mentally and financially. God laughed and gave us twins! We were so broke but happy!

Yes, that is mainly why we haven't had a child yet. We could afford the child alone, just not the health care cost that it would take for them to get here. Sadly. Hopefully sometime in the near future we can get health insurance at an affordable rate and be able to try.

Pregnancy and having a new born baby is stressful enough with out having finacial woes on top of it, I think it would be better to wait just so you could enjoy the pregnancy and your baby without worry.
