Don’t you love it when the actors who play heroes on screen also turn out to be heroes in real life? On Wendesday, Zoe Saldana rushed to the aid of an elderly woman after a nasty car accident in Culver City, CA. Go, Zoe!

The Avatar and Colombiana star was apparently driving through Culver City when the accident occurred. A bystander told People, “Zoe witnessed the car accident and was very quick to help. She immediately got on the phone with 911 and she seemed very concerned.” Zoe and another passerby teamed up to help get the woman out of her car and onto the curb. E! Online reported that Zoe then waited with the woman, who was quite bloodied up, until paramedics and police arrived; furthermore, People’s onlooker said that "while waiting for help to arrive, Zoe returned to the woman's car and picked up the woman's handbag and sweater. Zoe was very caring and sweet to the woman."

The actress was spotted talking to the cops and firemen who arrived on the scene, and she didn’t leave the woman’s side until she had gotten the medical care and attention she needed. Zoe’s rep reportedly had no comment, but even so, we’re glad that she was on the scene—and we bet the woman she helped is, too!
