This past Saturday night, Blake Lively joined the rest of the cast of Gossip Girl- Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, Penn Badgley, Kaylee DeFer, Leighton Meester and bunch of other celebrities- to celebrate the show's 100th episode.

But we really have to wonder about Blake's choice of dress. Yup, it's a designer label. Marchesa to be exact. And you can see exactly what Miss Lively (and boy is she) has to offer to the world.

To us, this haphazardly arranged collection of doilies just screams, "Look at me! Look at me now!" We're wondering if Blake picked this little number because the show's future is looking uncertain. Even though the 100th episode is airing on January 30th, there isn't any news (good or bad) about the show's future. Did Blake throw this one in hopes of producers spotting her and then vying to hire her talents?

Or is it to prove her hotness to supposed beau, Ryan Reynolds. You know how some young women think that if they dress uber-provactively, so many guys will desire them that the guy they're dating will definitely want to stay with them? In a teen's mind, this spells desirability. To the rest of us, it just spells desperation and insecurity. Not, "I am woman, hear me roar!"

To our rather jaundiced eye, Blake looks self-conscious, not fashion forward.
