As you may know, our intrepid executive editor April has undertaken to train for a half marathon and raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) through Team in Training (TNT). To help support and sponsor her goal of raising $4,000 for the LLS, BettyConfidential is hosting a giveaway to encourage donations of any amount from our readers.
Here’s the deal … you make a donation (of any amount!) through April’s Team in Training donation page, then come back here to leave a comment below, and you’ll be entered to win one of these super duper prizes! Easy peasy!
Quickly, in case you’re not familiar with TNT and L&L, a note from April:
I’m training for the Nike Women’s HALF Marathon (because I’m only half crazy! ha!) through Team In Training (TNT), which raises funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals, like our honored patient Sofia Blanco (above), who are battling blood cancers. Since its inception, TNT has raised nearly $600 million for research and patient aid, and I am really proud to be a part of it. -April

My Aunt died of leukemia around the time that the breakthrough gene therapy treatment study began. She donated her body to science, for the study of leukemia. I like to think that her gift played a role in this remarkable discovery. If possible, please send a working link for my donation.
