Who doesn’t love the smell of coffee wafting in the morning? Just the scent of it will make people scramble out of their beds and rush for a cup of piping hot java. And there’s something about coffee at the end of a meal that makes people linger at the table and (hopefully) share their dessert choices. Of course, when you share fun and gossip with your friends, don’t you do it over a cup of Joe?

If you’re hosting a New Year’s Eve dinner party, or are planning on a dinner party in the near future, 8 O’Clock coffee is a great way to end the meal.

Here are their tips on creating the perfect coffee break for the holidays and beyond.

1. Be your own brewista. Create a coffee house vibe and offer guests tasty toppings like cinnamon, cocoa, nutmeg, ginger and flavored creamers.

2. Coffee can be enjoyed any time. Break tradition – hosts don’t have to wait until the end of the meal to begin brewing. Welcome guests to a warm, cozy home filled with the fragrant aroma of coffee. Visitors won’t be able to resist a cup the minute they remove their coats.

3. Open before the holidays. Don’t wait until the night of your soiree to unveil that brand new French press. Play it safe and test out new coffee makers and brewing gadgets long before company comes.

4. Create delicious dessert dishes using coffee ingredients. Create chocolate and coffee-flavored cupcakes, a coffee crumb bunt cake or a batch of coffee brownies and perfectly pair with a cup of your favorite coffee.

5. Coffee to go. Stock up on holiday-themed to go cups with lids and send guests home with a fresh cup of Eight O’Clock Coffee for the road. It’s a must for visitors with a long ride ahead.

6. Don’t forget the decaffeinated. Make sure you have options: be prepared for caffeine-conscious guests.

7. Coffee for large parties. If brewing coffee in a high-capacity urn, consider storing and serving coffee in carafes after brewing. Carafes keep coffee hot and fresh, while urns may burn or caramelize your brew over time.

8. BYOC. Be unique and bring coffee. While most partygoers bring wine, you’ll be as distinct and tasteful as your gift of Eight O’Clock Coffee.

To give you extra energy for the New Year, 8 O’Clock Coffee has kindly given us a year’s worth of coffee (12 coupons for free 8 O’Clock Coffee valued at $6.99 each) and a fantastic Cuisinart Grind-and-Brew 12 cup automatic coffee maker for one very lucky BettyConfidential winner! 1. I love the smell of coffee brewing… takes me back to the mornings when my Dad was home from work in the mornings. He was a truck driver and when he was home…a pot of coffee would be brewing and filling the house with the great aroma.

  7. Love the smell of coffee when ground, when brewing, in my cup. That it warms me on a cold day. My mom got me hooked on the Eight O Clock brand. Wonderful memories of setting around the table with her drinking coffee.

  8. The thing I love most about coffee is being able to enjoy a good cup with my husband. We both have a love of coffee, and really enjoy a relaxing cup together, just talking and hanging out. It is our own “us” time. I also love my first cup of coffee in the morning, the smell, the feel of the warm liquid going down … sheer perfection.

  9. Eight O’clock coffee has been around for years. I can remember going to the store and grinding it right there. Oh the smell of fresh ground beans. Then enjoying a cup of coffee with breakfast of bacon , eggs , and homefries.

  10. Coffee is the thing that gets me out of bed in the mornings. I’m anything but a morning person and, as silly as it may sound, it’s the smell of coffee that helps me remember my blessings at my age of being able to get up and be productive. I especially love, now that I’m retired to be able to take a leisure moment to enjoy that first cup of 8’oclock coffee.

  11. I Love Eight O’Clock Coffee. I received a $2 off coupon from a coupon Blog and since then, I was hooked. There is nothing better than having a cup of coffee sitting by the window in the afternoon sun looking at the winter’s cold outside.

  12. I love me a yummy cup of 8 O’clock hazelnut coffee. Everymorning I grind the whole bean hazelnut coffee. I can not go s day without the delicious flavor.

  13. As a child, I was smitten with the love of coffee. My mom and I would go buy groceries at our local A&P grocery. When you walked in the door of the store the smell of 8 o’clock coffee would be the first thing that greeted you. Ever since those early years I have had a love for coffee! Every day, every season (even as I sit to type this now) my day starts with coffee!

  14. I LOVE coffee! Coffee is comforting….a shared warmth with a friend….memories of family and home…delicious variations either hot or cold…the secret ingredient to moms rich chocolate cakes….coffee Grounds mixed with soil are a secret boost for moms house plants…a secret exfoiliant in moms facial…Coffee my choice antidepressant :)

  15. I love coffee as it appeals to all 5 senses: aroma, warmth, taste, sound of grinding it, and seeing a freshly brewed cup! I have “liked” Betty on FB, I “like” 8 o’clock coffee on FB, I follow on Twitter and left a reply to the coffee giveaway (and retweeted).

  16. I love coffee. I’m not a big caffeine person. It doesn’t really wake my up, per se, but it makes the whole kitchen or workroom (at work) smell wonderful. I like it especially on a cold winter day. I sometimes add my cappuccino flavored protein powder to it. That’s the only way I can drink that. A good cup of coffee makes it taste pretty good. I rarely ever buy it at a coffee shop, but I make it at home and have some at work.

  17. I can’t think of anything more inviting than to be able to grind 8 O’Clock Coffee beans and brew a fresh pot of 8 O’Clock Coffee for myself, family, friends! So few people do this but I would very much like to be one who does! Please consider me. Thanks.
