Will Ferrell + Steve Carell = comedic genius!

Although we're sad to see Carell leave The Office after seven hilarious seasons, we're thrilled to hear that his funny friend Ferrell has offered to help him exit gracefully... and with a ton of laughs.

According to Deadline, "Ferrell called the [show's] producers, offering his services because he's a fan and wanted to commemorate Carell’s swan song by taking part in The Office star's seventh and final season on the show."

Will has agreed to appear in four episodes as a kind of Michael Scott clone -- a Dunder Mifflin/Sabre branch manager who's just as clueless, embarrassing and (hopefully) hilarious as our beloved Michael.

The show's producers have yet to decide when these Will Ferrell episodes will air, but we know our DVR's will be ready to go when they do!
