Nobody knows how to throw a party better than celebrities, especially when that party in their own honor. In one hot YouTube minute, Justin Timberlake ruined his flawlessly orchestrated good-guy image, when an offensive video starring homeless people was made by a guest at his rich people wedding. It was one of those moments that betrayed every “down-to-earth” compliment stars work so hard to earn. When it comes to weddings, stars just stop pretending to be like us.

Let’s take a look, shall we?

1. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s YouTube Disaster

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel reportedly earned $300,000 for exclusive photos of their wedding in Puglia, Italy last week. By my estimate, they owe this guy a few of those greenbacks for starring of a video “gift,” made by two wedding guests. “Greetings from your Hollywood friends who just couldn’t make it,” starts the brief video. That smirking opening is followed by three homeless folks congratulating the couple and then going back to their business of surviving. Where’s the funny? On Friday, Justinissued a public apology for his guest’s idiotic gift. But he did maintain: “My friends are good people.” Not everyone’s sold on that.

2. Nicole Richie’s Literal Elephant in the Room

Nicole Richie believes elephants are good luck, so when one showed up at her Los Angeles wedding to Joel Madden, she was pretty thrilled. Animal activists then tried to explain why she needs to cool it. For starters, elephants don’t give a s—about celebrities. Also they don’t love getting tasered and hauled by their noses into a crowded room of drunk people. Activists at PETA claimed the company that provided the living entertainment “trains its elephants with bullhooks and electric shock prods .” In an open letter to Richie, they added: “We’re writing to her privately to respectfully ask her to keep exotic animals off her guest lists for future celebrations.”
