Crazy. Stupid. Silly. Weird. Wild. Love makes us act in ways we never thought we would. Unlike any other emotion, it drives us to take matters into our own hands--whether that means risking our reputations or even our lives--to let our one and only know how we feel.
In the spirit of Crazy, Stupid Love, which opens in theaters this Friday, we asked our readers to share with us their stories of the craziest, stupidest things they've done for love.
Here are some of the best:

"I'm a touring musician, so sometimes it's hard to find stability when you are in a different city every night. However, I fell in love at first sight with my girlfriend when in Huntsville, AL. We stayed in touch by texting and calling, and I sent letters and postcards from every city I performed in. When I finally got back home to Portland, I had to find a way to see her in the opposite corner of the country. My best friend worked at an airline company and got me tickets to see her. However, since there were no direct flights, each trip I took to see her required two flights, a 45-minute taxi ride, and then a 2-hour bus trip! I made the trip every other week until she finally moved to Portland to be with me!"
-Simon T., 30, OR
"My bride and I remarry in a different state or country every year. This year, number fourteen, we went to New Mexico and got remarried in a hot air balloon! Our other crazy weddings have been in a 500-year-old windmill in Germany, swimming with the dolphins (Best mammal and Brides mammal), at the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas, and in Las Vegas as King and Queen at Excalibur."
-Evan M., 26, CA
"In 2008, a month after I got my Master's of Social Work in nonprofit administration, I quit my job as the second in command at a rapidly growing nonprofit organization that I'd worked at for five years to move to Calcutta, India for two years in order for my husband to do research for his Ph.D. The jury is still out on whether the story has a happy ending for my career. However, there's nothing like living in an excruciatingly hot developing country for two years with no air conditioning to really make or break you -- and in my case, the experience really solidified the bond my husband and I have."
-Mandy D., 31, NY
"About 7 years ago I met a guy on a Greyhound bus. He was a fast talker and I was desperate! Within weeks, he had come to my new hometown to tell me that he was a professional shoplifter, taking back from the corporate world what they 'don't deserve to keep for themselves.' Yep, he was crazy. And I was crazy in love with him. So, I dumped my apartment and my job and joined him on his cross-country campaign to cripple corporate America. Of course, I just ended up hurt and homeless and abused... Needless to say I wouldnt recommend dumping your ENTIRE LIFE for a guy!"
