What Will You Wear on Red Dress Day? 11 Top Bloggers’ Dream Outfits
National Wear Red Day is February 3rd. We created our fantasy outfits for day, night or the red carpet!
Go Red for Women is a national non profit that promotes heart health and heart disease prevention. Celebrities like Elizabeth Banks, Cheryl Hines and Star Jones have volunteered their time to create videos, give talks and reach out to women across America to help us all become more aware of the number one killer of women. That’s right — heart disease takes the lives of almost 500,000 women a year. That’s one woman lost every single minute of the day.
But knowledge is power — the American Heart Association estimates that up to 80% of heart disease and attacks are preventable! To celebrate National Wear Red Day, February 3, we asked fashionable and heart-conscious bloggers and writers to create a fantasy outfits they’d love to wear. (And yes of course we played along too!)
Here’s what we came up with … we hope it inspires you to go red for women on Friday, February 3rd!
Jene Luciani – author, The Bra Book, TV personality and mommy.
Jene said: “Showing your support doesn’t have to be stuffy or formal, doesn’t have to cost a lot of $ (I’m all about shopping on a budget!!) and it can certainly be on-trend. Plus, my “dream” outfit is something I can actually WEAR! I am LOVING bright-colored jeans right now, especially red! So I chose these red Michael Kors skinnies, paired with this super comfy-wear-with-everything striped blazer that you can roll up the sleeves and show another spot of red. I paired with fab-but-tough studded leopard pumps from Edelman. A fun look that’s not stuffy at all! Obviously author of The Bra Book, I’ll be wearing a little red underneath too (wink wink).”

Piper said: “There is nothing more attention-grabbing than a red dress. that’s why it was invented. It’s really innovative to use it to get people to pay attention to a very serious health issue. This is my ultimate red dress: it’s a photo of victoria principal from a 1980 Dallas promotional shot. I know it’s weird butI just love the cut of that dress. the thin spaghetti straps, the deep Vee (oh my Victoria!) and the belted waist. I also love the color which seems to me a little maroon rather than bright red.”
Michelle Joni Lapidos-Social Media Director of Spa Week, and all around fabulous chick.
Michelle said: “Heart health month holds a special place in my… well… heart. Heart disease has affected loved ones of mine, and as a health and wellness blogger, I want to stress that stressing is unhealthy, and eating well and exercising isn’t just good for your waistline. To reaffirm this message in my attire, on February 3rd my dream outfit would include bad-ass Mugler leather pants, Linda Farrow heart sunglasses, red Louboutin soles, and a hot fuchsia top to match the BOOM BOOM beating of my heart underneath.”

Vivianne La Pointe – transplanted Canadian enjoying California sunshine, blogger extraordinaire, founder and Editor-In-Chief Live Fast Mag
Vivianne said: “Studies show that exercise is the single most important thing women can do for heart health. For men – it’s sex! So on National Red Wear Day I will do Pilates in boudoir attire and do everything in my power to keep my family healthy!” Vivianne told us.

Bryce Gruber – Socialite, mommy and Editrix of The Luxury Spot.
Bryce said: “Heart health is extremely important to me. At three years old I was diagnosed with extremely high cholesterol- it’s a genetic thing that almost every woman in my family has been dealing with for generations (since the beginning of cholesterol tests, I suppose). I’m also an Aries, so wearing red is very near and dear to me. I love this J. Crew dress because, well, it’s cashmere. It can be dressed up or down, like with these gorgeous Prada heels and ruby earrings from Blue Nile. I also chose a vintage Valentino watch, because Valentino is the expert at glamorous red anything!”
