If you’ve missed Amy Poehler and the gang of NBC’s Parks and Recreation, you'll be happy to know they’re back Thursday for their third season. And, they’ve added one new, yet familiar face to the show in hopes for some added laughs. Actually, it’s a gorgeous face, and it belongs to Rob Lowe.

He may have been missing from our TV screens for the past five months, but here are five reasons why the actor has never left our hottie radar.

1. He’s a reformed bad boy.

In the '80s, Rob was a member of the infamous Brat Pack – a group of powerful and reckless young stars, which included Charlie Sheen, Demi Moore, Molly Ringwald and a few others. Rob admits in those days he was "young and crazy. It can be hard enough just to be in your teens and 20s. Then add fame, money, access, and every single person telling you that you’re the greatest person who ever was, and it can be a recipe for disaster."

It was a disaster for Rob, who was involved in one of the first celebrity sex tape scandals (only his was worse because it involved a minor, unbeknownst to him at the time). Like most celebs now do, Rob entered rehab for alcohol and sex addiction, and emerged a better, clean-cut version of his former self.

2. He has an incredibly sexy voice.

Rob has been blessed with a voice that’s smooth, deep, and masculine. No wonder Mazda has been using his vocals for their car commercials since 2007. "Zoom, Zoom" is right.
