Yes, this is a bunch of kids. Yes, they are dressed up in funny costumes. Yes, that is Angelina Jolie in the nun’s habit on the right. And yes, this is an extremely painful rendition of “New York, New York.” According to Snakkle, it’s 1987 here (this explains the bits of paper they’re holding—no teleprompters back then!), which would have made Angie about 12 years old. I’m a little unclear on why a 12-year-old would choose, when given a box full of costumes, to dress up as a nun, but whatever. She’s Angelina Jolie—she can do whatever the heck she wants. It’s probably a good thing that she decided to become an Academy Award-winning actress, because if she’d opted to become a singer, odds are she wouldn’t have gotten very far.
