So, anyway, I have a nail in my foot. But that's not the amazing part. What's incredible is that it's been in there for nearly two weeks.

Meanwhile, I've taken a hiking vacation to Arizona, a business trip to New York, ridden my bike back and forth to work, and endured five-mile runs.

When I first stepped on the nail, in the "safety" of my very own bedroom, I had two thoughts. The first was relief that it was my foot that found it and not one of my children's. The second was ouch. I yanked it out immediately (or so I thought). My foot continued to hurt through the night.
