‘Time Traveler’ in Charlie Chaplin Film: Is it a Cell Phone or Hearing Aid?
One YouTube video has many believing time travel is possible. We want to know what you think.
Here’s something spooky to consider right before Halloween! In this YouTube clip taken from a DVD extra of Charlie Chaplin’s The Circus, filmed in 1928, there seems to be a woman talking on a cell phone!
Some are arguing she’s just using a hearing aid, which was as large as a cell phone at the time. But, as you watch the video and see it in slow motion, she looks to be talking into it. Who talks into a hearing aid? Maybe she’s saying “testing, testing, 1, 2, 3,” or “I’m stuck in 1928! Get me out of here!” (People, Newser)
Tell us: what theory do you believe: is she a time traveler or simply just using a hearing aid?
