Just last Thursday, The Hills star Kristin Cavallari was sitting on a couch in a gorgeous designer wedding gown, beaming for the cameras of Access Hollywood as a celebrity bride-to-be. She told AH that the wedding plans were going great, and that she and fiancé, Jay Cutler of the Chicago Bears, couldn't be happier.

Fast forward to Saturday, and everything has changed. The wedding is off, the engagement broken.

It's any girl's worst nightmare.

According to People, Jay "dumped" Kristin for an unknown reason (though some have speculated it was cold feet). Obviously, the now single Kristin is devastated. "She can't believe this is happening," says the mag's source. "She was planning her dream wedding, the date was set, the location – everything was set. She's in shock that the dream wedding she was planning is going to end this way."

To make matters worse, Kristin had just celebrated her impending nuptials last week with a blowout bachelorette party, she had the wedding registry all set and ready to go, and she was very vocal to the press about how excited she was for the big day, which was scheduled for next spring.

It's sad to have such a public build up, only to have it end in such a public breakup. We hope you nurse your wounds, Kristin, and come out of this bigger and better!
