Michelle Joni Lapidos of Spa Week  recently road-tested The Pod. It’s a machine that looks as if it wandered out of a science-fiction movie.

What can the Pod do for you? According to Amalia “Amy” de Mier, owner and operator of The Pod Spa, the 30-minute LED light treatment combined with a CO2 treatment will help rev up your libido, lose weight, fight depression and wrinkles, get rid of acne, get rid of chronic pain…in short it’s supposed to be a miracle treatment.

How does it work? Michelle spent an an hour and a half in the machine. Her treatment included body scrubs and fat-burners, collagen lip and eye treatmentsChec, a CO2 mask and an oxygen facial. She left feeling energized and alert. Searching the web, I found reviews of the Pod from across the country. An Amberly Rose in Colorado tried one at the Sun Spot Atlantis  in Colorado Springs. In her review on Eagle County Weddings , she wrote, “So, I don't know what to say other than my butt and thighs looked awesome!!”

 Check out  Michelle's experience:

Depending upon what you want to do: weight loss, acne, skin rejuvenation, you could see a difference after the first treatment. For chronic pain, according to Amy, you might see a difference after only 5 sessions or sooner, depending upon the injury.

The Pod treatments start at $50. In New York, you can check out The Pod Spa  and you can find pods at Planet Beach Spas  nationwide.

Tell us: would you try a pod treatment?
