What is it about puppies and holidays? When you slap a Santa cap, elf ears, or reindeer antlers on a pooch, it's instant cuteness. You melt. And if the cute, itty, bitty, widdle puppy is on, near or even looking at a product, you're sunk. After the dog-induced haze goes away, there you are with your new wallet, shoes, sunnies, or what have you.

After all, who can resist a dog with pleading eyes? This year, Bergdorf Goodman produced a clever short film about dogs holiday shopping for their owners. You sort of see products, but you're more entranced by the antics of the dogs.

I dare you to watch this and not sniffle at the end.

The Best Friends Animal Society is a non profit devoted to saving abused animals. Not only do they rescue, but they also provide medical treatment, have a animal sanctuary, and help pets find adoptive homes. Their humorous commercial lets us see how dogs get ready for the holidays.

My favorite dog and holiday commericial is from the UK. Harvey Nichols is an upscale department store, and what they do with pets in this one... well, watch the sales assistant try to wrap a pug.
