Breaking up is hard to do. We have all been there. Sometimes, the breaks are clean. You each go your separate ways and you never hear from one another again. These are what I like to call, “the love ‘em and leave ‘em” relationships. No Facebook drama ensues. No suicidal phone calls at three in the morning. Just a good old fashioned break-up.

Cue 2011. Nothing is simple, anymore. In the modern world we have created, with social media networks interconnecting us 24/7 and cell phones that let us send instant “sex-t” messages, it’s almost impossible to completely remove yourself from someone’s life. So, what are the new rules of engagement? Or, in this case, “un-engagement”?
