The Apple Cin: A New Cocktail to Toast This Season (Or Your Weekend)!

Cosmos are so yesterday! Toast the chilly fall weather (and beyond) with this perfectly tasty cocktail: The Apple Cin. It was created by famed mixologist (that's bartender to you and I), Jose Torrella of the Barcaly Bar at the chic and sophisticated InterContinental New York Barclay.

The drink combines the yumminess of apples, pomegranates and cranberries. You could drink this all winter long!

Here's the recipe:

Ingredients:

Van Gogh Wild Appel Vodka van gogh vodka

Fresh Apple Juice

Grand Marnier

Simple Syrup (equal parts water and sugar boiled and chilled)

Fresh Squeezed Lemon

Pomegranate Juice

Cranberry (alternately can use apple chunks)

Glass Preparation:

Mix clear gelatin with water according to directions on box (for an extra kick, infuse the gelatin with Van Gogh Wild Appel Vodka the night before!)

Place cranberry in bottom of Martini Glass

Rim Martini glass with cinnamon and sugar mixture

Chill – should sit overnight to ensure everything has time to gel completely.

Mix:

2 oz Van Gogh Wild Appel Vodka

1 oz fresh apple juice

1/2 oz Grand Marnier

1/2 oz Simple Sugar

1/2 oz Fresh squeezed lemon

1/4 oz or splash of pomegranate juice

Shake all ingredients but the pomegranate juice and pour into prepared glass. Pour pomegranate juice slowly down the side of the cocktail glass, let settle. Garnish with apple slice and serve.
