John McCain and Snooki

We thought Snooki Polizzi knew everything already, but the pint-sized star learned something new when she got a health lecture from John McCain, via Twitter.

In a sneak peek at Season Two of Jersey Shore, the hard-drinking, hard-fighting Snooki said she was very upset by the President’s recent tax on tanning beds. The tax is part of an effort to raise money to finance the health-care reform bill.

“I don’t go tanning anymore, because Obama put a 10 percent tax on tanning,” Snooki lamented on the show. “I feel like he did that intentionally for us.” (For our part, we thought that the President was more concerned with the economy, the Middle East and the BP oil spill than with the Jersey Shore gang, but we could be wrong.) As a result, the Snook has had to resort to spray-on tans.

“McCain would never put a 10 percent tax on tanning,” Snooki added. “Because he’s pale and he would probably want to be tan.”

According to CNN, McCain took to Twitter to confirm Snooki’s astute political analysis. The Arizona Senator wrote, “@Sn00ki, u r right, I would never tax your tanning bed! Pres Obama’s tax/spend policy is quite The Situation but I do rec wearing sunscreen!"

Snooki answered, "Haha Yes!"

It’s probably the first time she’s ever taken advice from anybody.

In other Snooki news, according to US magazine, the reality star told reporters that she just wanted to settle down and “make guido babies.”

Maybe Sarah Palin could help her out with some mothering advice. (CNN, US)
