On December 1, 2011, I headed over to the posh Hair Rules Salon in NYC for House of Mikko’s I Love Your Hair App Party. Celeb hairstylist Dickey (Michelle Obama, Alicia Keys, and Estelle, anyone?), was also in attendance to show off her amazing skills and give a few lucky ladies the makeover of a lifetime.

Besides practically drooling over dozens of très chic hairstyles, sipping on delish cocktails, and enjoying a few cool beats, I got the deets on a brand new app (out now) for you lucky iPhone users.

The I Love Your Hair app is an amazing tool for the gals out there planning to transform their tresses…or even just spice up their standard cut and style. The app allows users to post photos of their haute hairstyles and get a dose of major inspiration from pictures uploaded by other hair aficionados.

And don’t worry: you won’t have to shuffle through images of Photoshopped models, either: every photo posted is from a real gal who loves her luscious locks just as much as you do!
