But don’t think the style breakthroughs will stop just because 2012 is around the corner. We’ve spotted five famous ladies we predict will rule the red carpet in the coming months. Get ready to drool over these gorgeous ensembles!

Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence first crossed our radar with her powerful performance in Winter’s Bone. And besides having loads of talent and a soon to be mega hit film under her belt (Hunger Games, anyone?), she has serious style skills.

Donning a Dolce & Gabbana frock with Christian Louboutin shoes and Lorraine Schwartz bracelets, Jennifer plays it cool yet sophisticated. We’re sure the 2011 Independent Spirit Awards were superb, but all we can remember is this winter white ensemble.

Rooney Mara perfectly portrayed anti-heroine Lisbeth Salander in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. As we wait for the sequel, we’ll be satisfying our Rooney obsession with photos of her fabulous wardrobe!

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo actress was the perfect combination of badass and chic en route to The Late Show With David Letterman. Decked out in a YSL coat and Balenciaga bag, she looked every bit like the star she is!

Rooney makes a Givenchy white gown look edgy at the London premiere of her newest movie! 

Rooney rocked the New York premiere of Girl in a Prabal Gurung cutout dress that would even impress Lisbeth. Coupled with fiery red lips and Louboutin heels, she was nothing short of a style star.

Rooney was pretty and put together in Diane von Furstenberg at the September 2011 premiere of Tanner Hall. We especially love her nude pumps –they’re the perfect leg lengthening touch!
