Road Test: Gabriel Organics Seaweed Hydrating Mask
Is this mask made from the sea for me?
-Kenneth Thapoung
My face is the most vital organ of my body, so when I volunteered to give Gabriel Organics Seaweed Hydrating Mask ($24.95, gabrielcosmeticsinc.com) a whirl, I was sweatin’ bullets contemplating a complete breakout. Then again, this was the only chance my face would get anywhere near something like a spa.
With ingredients such as spirulina, sea fennel, and algae, this mask was one big ocean smorgasbord. The natural plant extracts gave me a cool, refreshing sensation for the 15 minutes they plastered my face. After rinsing with warm water, my skin felt tight and fresh.

I used to believe organic goods were only useful for “veg-heads,” but my face felt rejuvenated. Although my driver’s license says I’m 20 years old, my face felt 18 again (if only my physique time traveled too). My verdict: Go organic. It won’t feel like there’s an entire pharmaceutical moisturizer attacking your pores, and the mask blends nicely with your skin tone.
