Affair Recovery is the first online toolkit couples can use if they want to stay together after one person’s been caught cheating. Can you see it now? The two of them huddled around the monitor, yelling, screaming, crying, and then listening to a disembodied voice asking questions? Yeah, me neither.

The site also has an “Affair Analyzer.” That conjures up so many bad jokes; it would take a few pages to knock them all out. The front page of the site boasts (hmm, maybe not the right word), that some of their counselors have experienced affairs in their relationships. Affair Recovery, unlike Lisa Kudrow’s comedy show Web Therapy, you don’t webcam with a real therapist. You take courses. Lots of courses. Oh, there’s also online support groups which is a fancy name for forum.

I don’t know what’s more ridiculous, someone thinking that they could really help shattered couples via an online course, or someone who’d rather cough up the money to take them. The press release states that over 500 couples have participated in it, but interestingly enough doesn’t state how many of them are still together.
