Jordyn Wieber

17-year-old Jordyn Wieber isn’t your average teen. A champ of a gymnast, Jordyn is the reigning All-Around World Champion, the US Senior National Champion, and a three-time winner of the AT&T America Cup—AND she’s competing for the good old US of A at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London this summer! And as if that wasn’t enough, she’s also just been named a Beauty Ambassador for P&G Beauty. P&G, which sponsors USA Gymnastics and the US Women’s Senior National Team, is pledging to help raise $400,000 to support youth sports organizations across the country—an excellent cause, indeed!

We recently got the chance to sit down and chat with Jordyn about her Olympic dreams, a typical day in her life, her beauty secrets, and more. Oh, and did we mention that we’ve got a killer giveaway featuring an Olympic Beauty Prize Pack chock full of P&G goodies and worth a grand total of $120? Read on for all the deets!

BC: What’s your advice to young women with dreams of something big?

JW: Stay dedicated and never give up.

BC: What’s your beauty routine like?

JW: I usually wake up in the morning and wash my face and moisturize with Olay Pore Minimizing Cleanser + Scrub and Olay Complete All Day Moisture Lotion/Cream UV Defense. If I’m going to school then I usually use foundation and lip gloss as well.

  1. My favorite Summer Olympic event was baseball when they still had that. Now I guess I’d say running just because I’m not a runner AT ALL, and it amazes me that some people are so fast and have such explosive muscles.

  2. I love SWIMMING! I am a swimmer myself and it makes me happy to watch the sport on TV! I also love gymnastics, it always amazes me that people can flip and stretch their bodies in all sorts of ways!

  3. My favorite Olympic sport is any of the equestrian events because I love the horses, the style of the riders and the beauty of the events. I follow Betty on Facebook.

  4. I love the diving since I’ve never been a great swimmer myself, I find people who can fascinating. I think they look so graceful when they dive.

  5. For Summer Olympics, I love to watch swimming/diving events and gymnastics. For Winter Olympics, ice skating, hockey and skiing/snowboarding events are a must-watch. My most fave part is the backstory on the athletes, win or lose.

  6. I wish Jordyn Wieber much luck in the

  9. My favorite summer olympic sport is swimming and gymnastics. I’m looking forward to seeing Michael Phelps become the most decorated Olympian and the US gymnastics team win team gold and Jordyn Wieber win all around gold. Go Team USA!!!

  10. My favorite is gymnastics. I love watching the grace, poise, and confidence these girls display while performing extremely difficult and dangerous skills in front of thousands, if not millions of people. Also, the experience gymnastics gives these girls is wonderful. If they can tackle doing their skills and routines in a highly stressful situation, imagine what they can take on and overcome in “the real world”!!!

  11. I love watching sports especially gymnastics as my girls participated when quite young. The diving is amazing with control and skill to make tiny splash after a clean entrance into the water. Seeing sthletes extend themselves to the best of their ability inspires me to exercise more.

  12. My favorite sports are the gymnastics (mostly the floor exercise) and synchronized diving. I’m always mesmerized by the ability of these athletes to control their bodies to do these things!

  13. My favorite Olympic sport has to be synchronized diving. It boggles my mind when a really good pair is so perfectly in sync and there is hardly a splash when they enter the water. I also love gymnastics because I can’t even do a cartwheel, let alone all that those athletes can do.

  14. Already a fan on fB. I love gymnastics it was amazing to watch the olympics Gabby is such an exceptional young girl. Really fun to watch. I wish I could do flips like that :)

  15. I love watching them all just the athletic capability they show and the pride for their country is awesome – Volleyball, track and gymnastics had me toned in.
