Pssst! Justin Timberlake Reveals His Grooming Secrets!
Justin Timberlake revealed his grooming secrets and tips to Details! Want to know what the singer does to look his best? Read on!
Even if he’s not really your “type,” there’s no denying that Justin Timberlake is one good-looking man (Jessica Biel? Super lucky!). But as most people will tell you, even if you’ve got good genes, looking your best still requires a little effort. The singer, actor, and superstar extraordinaire recently sat down with Details to chat about his best grooming tips and secrets. Want to know what he does to stay looking great? Read on!
On his brand of choice:
“Kiehl’s always makes good stuff,” Justin says—and he’s not alone! Celebs like Jenna Fischer also swear by Kiehl’s skincare products. “I like their Facial Fuel because it’s simple and clean,” the singer continues. “Plus it’s got a little tingle to it, so you feel like it’s doing something.”
On his favorite indulgence:
It’s time to go old school! “Going to an actual barbershop—the whole hot-towel, old-school experience. You sit there and get your hands massaged while getting a shave? Nothing wrong with that.” True that.
On his biggest grooming pet peeve:
Says Justin, “I don’t like when I see guys do too much hair gel. I don’t mean Pauly D—because that’s basically performance art.” This is possibly the most flattering description of anyone from Jersey Shore we’ve ever heard—but weirdly, it makes a certain amount of sense. What do you think? Anyway, he continues, “But when you use enough hair gel that your hair becomes a sculpture—and you wanted it to look that way? It’s just weird.” Agreed!
On his favorite look:
It’s all about keeping things easy: He’s all for the shaved head look. “ It’s scary the first time you do it,” he notes, “because you don’t know what’s under there—you could have some weird knot—but a shaved head is just so easy.”
On his biggest style regrets:
Perhaps unsurprisingly, these mostly involve NSYNC, though he’s careful not to mention the group by name. “There were many moments in my teenage years where I succumbed to, um, the weirdness of the group I was in,” he confesses. “And in trying to conform—we’re marionettes!— I ended up looking like a moron.” Bye bye bye?
