My husband walked in the kitchen this morning to find me teary-eyed over my laptop, swooning over replay clips and photos from the Royal Wedding. He observed for a moment and then grinned. "Is this like, the ultimate wedding?"

Why yes, indeed it is! And here are 10 of the swooniest moments ...

1. "You Look Beautiful"

As Kate met William at the altar, he spoke the words every woman wants to hear from the man she is about to marry.

2. THE DRESS! ZOMG!

I absolutely love Kate's dress, created by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. It's a dreamy concoction, elegant and classic and perfectly suited to Kate. More details are here... 

3. Kate's sister Pippa in white -- so sweet and symbolic of her connection to her sister (at least that's how I'm interpreting it, because I'm sappy like that). They look beautiful together!

Here's a great video showing Kate's arrival at Westminster Abbey -- Kate's father helps Kate out of the car, and Pippa carries her train.  It's also a great clip for some major dress ogling...

4. The SUN came out when Kate and William saw each other for the first time. Like, seriously.

5. How happy and relaxed they looked walking down the aisle.

6. The vows. I mean, the vows are swoony in every wedding, but Will and Kate are so heartfelt and  lovely with each other. Plus those gorgeous accents!

7. The carriage!

It's the same one that carried Princess Di and Charles to Buckingham Palace.

8. "I'm so happy."

According to official lip readers (who knew?!), as Kate and William  came out of Westminster Abbey and sat in their carriage, Kate leaned over to William and said "I’m so happy."

9. THE KISS!

Even better ... the second kiss!

10. "Mum Would Be So Proud"

British newspaper The Sun had that headline this morning, referring of course to Princess Diana, who surely would have been so proud and happy to her little boy all grown up, his brother at his side, and marrying a lovely woman. In fact, I believe Diana is, somehow, somewhere, happy and proud of both her babies.

After all, it was Prince William's mother who so famously said, “If you find someone you love in your life, then hang on to that love.”
