Obamas

Lady in red! The always fashionable First Lady, Michelle Obama, didn't dissapoint at Wednesday night's White House state dinner honoring the arrival of Chinese President, Hu Jintao.

Her red gown was designed by Sarah Burton, the creative director of Alexander McQueen.

Of course, the press is buzzing about Michelle's dress (what dinner?). The Los Angeles Times' fashion blog, All the Rage, said, "If you thought the first lady's fashion sense was mellowing out, think again. ... The asymmetrical neckline is incredible, and the red color no doubt a nod to China."

Tell us: What do you think about the First Lady's state dinner dress?

Don't like it; the "nod" to China is just way too contrived, as is her style overall. Maybe it's just me, but I think a First Lady should dress with classic, quiet elegance.

I think the dress is awful! too bunchy, too weird pattern on the red; looks difficult in which to sit down; just because it is by a famous designer doesn't make it look any better. Maybe it was better in person but does not translate well in pictures.
