Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem made a rare public appearance together, cuddling and smiling at Madrid’s Street of Stars (Calle De Las Estrella). They emerged from their quiet private life to each receive their own sidewalk plaques. The attraction is located on Calle Martín de los Heros, a busy city street. Penelope and Javier are pictured above with their good friend and director, Pedro Almodovar.

According to UK's Daily Mail, Penelope and Javier are among 25 of Spain’s celebrities, including Antonio Banderas and Julio Iglesias to be awarded these coveted awards. Penelope had her very first star under her belt this past April, when she was enshrined with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her role in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Penelope also had the distinction of being the first Spanish star to receive a star on the walk.

“I feel I have won the biggest lottery,” she was quoted as saying, “I’m doing what I love as my job and I am so grateful for the things that I have.”
