Food websites and foodie bloggers are hip and hot! They are a great place to get recipes and tips on everything from grocery shopping to quick clean-ups.
Here are 5 that we really love.
1-Dish and Dine
A new website that's sort of like youtube for foodies. They've got recipes, tips, restaurant reviews, and info on all sorts of yummy goodies. There's even a foodie trivia game.
Check out the "Recipe Nook," with videos from cookbook authors, including Betty's own food+home editor, Francine Segan, and lots of celebs including the adorable Rachael Ray. Click on the Spices & Herbs section and hear Chef Marc Forgione explain a fab new "taste bud energizer" - Sechuan Buttons - that are hitting the restaurant scene.
Best of all, unleash your inner chef and download a video of your own. The site has easy-to-follow instructions on how to download videos. You never know who might log on and offer you a job as the new Food Network star!
2- Cookstr
Another new website with an awesome collection of recipes from cookbook authors and great chefs. You can search for dishes by ingredient, chef, cookbook author, or ingredient. The site is super easy to navigate so you can find recipes in all sorts of categories like "kid friendly" or "Five ingredients or less."
All of the participating chefs and cookbook authors have their own profile pages on Cookstr where you can read about them, their restaurants, and see a selection of their great cookbooks.
The site listed 3 recipes by our own Betty food+home editor, Francine Segan, Check them out! Her recipe for "Carmen's Sangria" is perfect for a hot summer day.
