Today is International Women’s Day! To celebrate the occasion, we asked our readers the following question last week:

Whether it’s a place you’ve been to before or have just daydreamed about, if you had to trade places with a woman in another country, where would you choose and why?

Bettys sounded off in our comment section and on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Here are some of the interesting answers we found:

Read Would You Trade Places With a Woman in Another Country?

Finland, the country of my ancestors and a country that cares about its people.” – BettyTalk user PheonixRising

“India! Because their Teachings are Enlightening; Food; Dress; Entire Cultural Experience, period!” – Dawn G. via Facebook

“I would love to switch with a woman from Amsterdam or Italy. They are so much more free there compared to the U.S.. What a life!”
– Bettytalk user Dreapuff

“I’d choose the UK. I actually spent six months there on a student work-abroad permit, and I loved it – I’d move back there in a heartbeat. No language barriers, but a very different culture…plus the rest of Europe is right at your doorstep.” – Bettytalk user Sebastienne

“India is a great choice. I would also consider Australia or New Zealand… great healthcare systems!” – Nancy B. via Facebook

“My bags would be packed for Paris. My grandmother was born in France and I love the language, the people, the history of the City of Lights. More kudos for the shorter work week, longer lunch times, and the laissez-faire attitudes of the Europeans. That shopping on Rue du Faubourg St. Honore ain’t too shabby, either…” – Bettytalk user festivelady826

Yet, some Bettys would rather stay right where they are in the good ol’ USA…

“The idea is tempting, yet not knowing if I could switch back or not, I think I’d choose to stay where I am… you know the grass is not always greener!” – Darby L. via Facebook

“Bad as the states are, there is no other place in the world I’d rather be!” – Ivy R. via Facebook

If you didn’t get a chance to answer our question, now is your chance! Where would you choose?
