My 5 Fave Perfumes
These are the beauty items I can’t live without.
-Kathryn H. Cusimano

Once upon a time, I was obsessed with eye shadow, liner, lip gloss, lipstick, mascara… you name it, I had it in spades. Those days are gone. Once I got to college, I decided to save bold eye makeup for very special occasions. By the time I got my diploma, I was barely wearing foundation, and I now have a fairly well-edited collection of beauty products, with very few extras. However, there is one set of products I like to change up: fragrance.

Despite regularly clearing out my beauty bag, I won’t get rid of the fragrances I’ve collected in recent years. I’ve managed to narrow down that collection to my five faves. Let me know if you have any of these at home!
1. Falling in Love by Philosophy ($15-60, philosophy.com). This sweet, light scent is perfect for everyday wear.

2. Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel ($80, chanel.com). I always use this fragrance on date night.

3. Burberry London by Burberry ($55-86, sephora.com). I love this scent for chilly winter days and nights – can you tell I’m an Anglophile?

4. Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker ($68, drugstore.com). This floral fragrance is perfect for girls’ night out.

5. No. 5 by Chanel ($61.50, chanel.com). A classic passed down from my mother. You can never go wrong with No. 5!

I love the BUrberry, but the name “Falling in Love” def makes me want to give it a whirl
I’ve liked Channel #5 for about 50 years. I also like Shalimar.
Lovely by SJP is a really great scent and perfect for day or evening.
I love Philosophy! I haven’t tried the Falling in Love yet though. I’ll have to check it out!
I’ve tried Lovely and I like the light scent.
i can’t wait to try the Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel
This is SO funny! Lovely and Coco are two of my all-time favorites, too! I was just thinking about some of the funny perfumes (that were WAY too strong!!!) that I adored in the late 80′s like Ralph Lauren Safari and Dior Poison!!! Yikes!
I love the traditional scents..chanel #5 is one of my favorites, but my first choice is Joy!
I have a hard time finding a perfume I like.
I really want to smell that Burberry London! I wish you had posted notes of it!
Love burberry and Coco Mademoiselle!
TRY FLOWER BOMB! I GET SO MANY COMPLIMENTS WHENEVER I WEAR IT!
I like alot of different ones. But i’ll always wear jlo’s line.
I miss the oddly named but wonderful smelling Provocative by Avon. Does anyone know of a scent thats the same kind of wonderfully romantic floral fruity scent as this one was?
Love these plus Chanel No.22 is fabulous.
Unbelievably, you listed 5 of MY all-time favorites! To the list I would add: Jean Paul Gaultier (the original), Lolita Lempecka, Bijan, and White Diamonds. Fragrance is such a personal choice, isn’t it?
Channel #5 – Great Classic!
