If you’re a night owl who has ever wanted to smack a cheerful morning person (yup, that’s me), I have bad news. Those annoying early-risers are also healthier and happier than us night birds. A recent study in the American Psychological Association journal Emotion found that morning people really have it going on.
The study, Happy as a lark: Morning-type younger and older adults are higher in positive affect by Renee Biss and Lynn Hasher of the University of Toronto, studied over 700 adults with various sleep patterns.
