MORE Celeb Summer Weddings: Drew Barrymore + Will Kopelman Got Married!
Drew Barrymore and fiancé Will Kopelman tied the knot after a five-month engagement this weekend. Details inside!
There’s totally going to be a new celebrity wedding every week this summer. Just in case there was any doubt about that. Hot on the heels of Cynthia Nixon and Mark Zuckerberg, Drew Barrymore finally tied the knot with fiancé Will Kopelman over the weekend. Though this one wasn’t a surprise like the previous two, congratulations are still in order to the happy couple!
According to People, the happy-go-lucky pair celebrated their rehearsal dinner on Saturday at San Ysidro Ranch, a luxury wine-country hotel, enjoying cocktails at sunset outside and dinner in a private room indoors. Among those helping the couple celebrate were Cameron Diaz (no surprise there—Cameron was the one who accompanied drew to her final wedding gown fitting last week) and Jimmy Fallon. Given the guest list, no doubt it was a hilarious occasion as well as an adorable one!
Jimmy, Cameron, and a whole variety of other guests like Reese Witherspoon and Busy Phillips were also on hand for Sunday’s ceremony, which Drew held at her Montecito home. Accordint to People, celeb wedding planners Yifat Oren and Stefanie Cove—who, incidentally, also worked on Reese and Jim Toth’s wedding last year—went for a “classic, simple, very pretty, garden-inspired wedding.” Sounds perfect for Drew’s flower child personality! A Jewish ceremony, the two lovebirds were wed under a chuppah with a rabbi officiating.
Drew’s gown, by the way, was Chanel; unsurprising, given that her new father-in-law, Arie Kopelman, is a former Chanel CEO. The wedding pics will debut in this week’s issue of People, so be on the lookout for them!
Congrats again to the happy couple—and the best of luck as new parents, as well. This is Drew’s third marriage, but she’s currently pregnant with her first child.
So: Who do you think will be the next celeb pairing to get married? The betting pool is open!
