Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon welcomed their twin son and daughter to the world six months ago—and now, the babies are ready to meet the world themselves!

According to Us Weekly, the twins were introduced to Barbara Walters first. Barbara had stopped by Mariah and Nick’s apartment in New York to shoot an interview with the happy parents for 20/20. Check out this pic of Barbara bonding with Monroe, nicknamed “Roe,” on the left and Moroccan, known as “Roc,” on the right:

 While some might consider six months a bit soon for a pair of babies to be making their primetime debut, I suppose that given today’s celebrity culture, at least they weren’t thrust out into the spotlight the minute they were born. Hopefully this upcoming 20/20 special will satisfy the public’s curiosity enough to let the twins be—at least for the time being.

Though according to Nick, Roe may already be headed for fame. He told Us Weekly back in June, “My son is laid back like me, [but] my daughter’s a diva like her mom!” How did he know, especially considering that Roe was only two months old at the time? “When my daughter wants something,” he said, “she’ll let you know immediately. With [our son], you kind of feed him when you get around to it, and he’s okay with that.” Noted.
