Mean Betty: Oh Noes! The Kardashian Sisters Are Being Sued (Again)
Oopsies! A lawsuit claims that the Kardashian QuickTrim diet pills are bogus!
Oooh kittens, hell hath no fury like a dieter scorned! Take one upset dieter, multiply that by three — no, wait, is that add three other dieters? Meanie’s never liked math; she usually makes the butler do it (get it? The butler did it?). Now, then, where was Meanie again? Ah, yes, four, that’s it! Four very upset dieters spent their hard earned cash for the Kardashian endorsed Quick Trim diet pills … and they say nothing happened. Nothing!
Oh jeepers, kittens, the poor dears. So what did the dieters do? They banded together and filed a class action lawsuit in the federal court of New York, of course. The four live in New York, California and Florida—all states where “thin is in”—and used the New York City law firm of Bursor & Fisher to file the suit.
In the lawsuit, they state that the pills’ claims and advertising were “”false, misleading, and unsubstantiated.” But wait, kittens, there’s more! They also stated that the pills had “no competent and reliable scientific evidence supporting any of these claims.”
They’d like $5 million dollars from the Kardashians (which we know is what they spend in a week on shoes). But before the lawsuit can become a huge behemoth, a judge has to sign off on it. Are your fingers crossed? And for whom?
You see, kittens, it seems the main ingredient of the “diet pill” is caffeine. Meanie would think if you take a lot of it, you won’t lose weight, you’ll just get jittery. Now for the Kardashian sisters: Kim, Khloe and Kourtney (until she got preggers) did lose weight; they all looked thinner. But was it using the purported diet pill, or was it watching their calories and going to the gym? Kim took to Twitter to say, “Our QuickTrim cleanse will be massive! Khloe has already lost so much weight.”
It definitely looks like she might’ve stuck her Jimmy Choos in her mouth.
For your perusal, here’s one of their Quick Trim commercials, called “Live the Dream:”
Oh, and kittens? This isn’t the first time the Kardashians have been sued. Back when they thought every teen should have a high-interest, high-fee debit card, they were hit with a $75 million lawsuit over the “Kardashian Kard”.
The Kardashians’ Kevlar protected them from that suit, but will they go to the Kardashian Kleeners on this one?
