Remember when we told you about Wahlburgers, the burger joint that Mark and Donnie Wahlberg were planning on building? Well, it’s finally open, and business, as they say, is booming! The Hingham, MA restaurant features a cheeky menu laden with things like the Single Decker, a single story burger “just like the house we always wanted," and—Mark’s choice—the Thanksgiving Burger, “like Thanksgiving leftovers on a bun.”
But the Wahlbergs aren’t the only celebs to have gone into the restaurant biz (though their place may have the cleverest name!). Check out these other celeb-run eateries!
1. Justin Timberlake: Southern Hospitality and Destino in New York

Justin Timberlake owns not one, but two restaurants in New York. Southern Hospitality boasts succulent peel-and-eat shrimp, smokin’ hot wings, and to-die-for baby back ribs; Destino, on the other hand, serves top-notch Italian fare. Yum.
2. Sandra Bullock: Bess Bistro in Austin, TX

Sandra Bullock isn’t just an Academy Award-winning actress; she’s also quite the entrepreneur. Her Austin restaurant, Bess Bistro, has become quite the hot spot since she opened it in 2006. Later on, she opened an upscale bakery, restaurant, and floral shop that also does event planning called Walton’s Fancy and Staple right across the street. Talk about multi-tasking! Who’s up for a croque monsieur and a flower arrangement?

3. Ryan Gosling: Tagine in Beverly Hills, CA

Hey, girl. Ryan Gosling wants you to sample his tasty Moroccan fare. That’s right: Tagine is one of the few Moroccan restaurants in L.A. Tagine has an a la carte menu, but its real star is its seven-course tasting menu, which includes bastille (phyllo pastry with Cornish hen and saffron scrambled eggs), sea bass with Chermoula sauce, and lamb in honey sauce. Sounds delish!
4. Jon Bon Jovi: Soul Kitchen in Red Bank, NJ

Red Bank, NJ is the last place you might expect to find a celeb-run restaurant, but rocker Jon Bon Jovi’s Soul Kitchen is a little different than the rest: There are no prices on the menu. Customers donate to pay for their meal. No money? No worries; you can do volunteer work in exchange for your family’s meal. It’s all part of the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, an organization that aims to combat economic despair and break the cycle of poverty and homelessness. A worthy cause indeed!
5. Emily Saliers: Watershed in Georgia

Indigo Girl songstress Emily Saliers’ restaurant Watershed has earned some pretty high praise for its fresh take on Southern classics. Bonus: Not only does it do the standard breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but even better, it has a whole Southern afternoon tea menu. Care for some loose leaf tea, toasted pecans, and curry shrimp sandwiches? Watershed’s original location was in Decatur, but it’s moving to Atlanta—the new location is due to be open by the end of the year.
More celebrity restaurants, including Chris Noth's tea house and Robert Redford's railroad-inspired joint, up next!
