Welcome to Day 20 of your SEXIEST year ever! Click here to catch up on Day 19: Lighten Up, Francis!

I’ll confess, this is a case where I need to follow my own advice! How often do I jump into bed in something I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing in daylight, just because it’s comfy? But the truth is … whether you’re sleeping alone or with a (lucky!) partner, slipping into something a little more HOT and a little less NOT will do wonders for your sense of sexiness. It’s kind of a no-brainer … no?

Here are a some picks to get you inspired — none of them are over-the-top slutty (though there’s a time a place for that!), and all of them look pretty comfortable … but what a difference from that ratty t-shirt + flannel bottoms combo you’ve been sporting! (And a note to my husband: I promise to order at least one of these after I finish writing this article!):

Anthropologie chemise

Tulip rush set from Anthropoligie ($78, anthropologie.com)

empire gown Gap

Lace-trimmed empire gown from GapBody ($34.50, Gap.com)

boxer set Victoria's Secret

Satin boxer pajama set from Victoria’s Secret ($42, victoriassecret.com)

Calvin Klein chemise

Organic Twill Chemise by Calvin Klein ($68, stylefind.com)

boyfriend sleep shirt Frederick's of Hollywood

Satin boyfriend sleep shirt by, yes, Frederisk’s of Hollywood ($24, fredericks.com)

  1. Jill says:

I’m all for sexy. . .in fall, spring and summer, but it’s just too cold in New England for this type of sleepwear! How about showing us something sexy with long sleeves. . .it can be done! Seems like most sleepwear designers skip the sexy when they create long sleeves/pants. Everything in that category is simply boxy. Designers need to step it up a notch here!

  2. Fashionista says:

I like the Frederick’s of Hollywood satin boy shirt.

  3. Trudina says:

I always where some kind of a nightgown or sleepshirt. Long or short, long sleeves or short sleeves. But I never where panties. I feel sexy and I’m always ready.
