Love It or Hate It? Kate Hudson Suits Up at the Venice Film Festival
Kate Hudson sported a white suit to a photo call for ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’ at the Venice Film Festival. Love it or hate it?
As you may have noticed, the Venice Film Festival kicked up this week. Guess what that means? You guessed it: Lots and lots and LOTS of red carpet and photo call looks for us to scrutinize. And how!
First up: Kate Hudson. Kate wore this pristine white suit with a taupe shell to the morning photo call for The Reluctant Fundamentalist yesterday. She accessorized the look simply with a gold necklace and a pair of aviators; she also kept her hair loose and flowing and her makeup fresh-faced and natural. The jacket looks like it’s double-breasted, although Kate has made the choice of wearing it open.
So: What do you think, Bettys? Personally, I kind of dig it. While the pants are a little long (who else is curious what shoes she’s wearing?), Kate looks cool and collected: Perfect for an end-of-summer film festival. And hey, you’d better get your all-white ensembles in while you can—the “no white after Labor Day” cutoff is almost here!
The Reluctant Fundamentalist, based on the novel of the same name by Mohsin Hamid, tells the story of a young Pakistani man who, after graduating from Princeton, chases corporate success on Wall Street—only to find himself embroiled in conflict between his American Dream, a hostage crisis, and the enduring call of his family’s homeland. Directed by Mira Nair (The Namesake), it also stars Riz Ahmed, Liev (not Live, as my spellcheck keeps insisting) Schreiber, and Kiefer Sutherland.
Tell us: What do you think of Kate’s suited-up look?
