Love It or Hate it? Anna Kendrick in Mulberry at ‘The Company You Keep’ Premiere
Anna Kendrick sported a printed Mulberry frock at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival premiere of ‘The Company You Keep’. Love it or hate it?
A political thriller for a political year seems apropos, doesn’t it? The Company You Keep just premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival, and boy, does it look like a doozy! Starring Robert Redford as a former Weather Underground activist who goes on the run from a young journalist (Shia LaBeouf) who has discovered his true identity, it also features one of our fave actresses of the moment: Anna Kendrick. Anna wore this eye-popping printed dress to the premiere. What do you think, Bettys? Love it or hate it?
Part of Mulberry’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection, the fitted “Nightie” dress features a decadent mixture of midnight blue, black, and splashes of rust orange. The contoured, knee-length dress also has a subtle element of delicacy-sheer lace paneling at the back, the yoke and the three-quarter sleeves. Here’s how it looked on the runway:
Kendrick is a huge fan of the brand; she’s been seen in Mulberry over and over and over again (see?). While the blogosphere is seemingly split on whether they love it or hate it, I personally love Kendrick’s pick. The simple silhouette and clever contouring of the dress compliment her petite frame tremendously, giving her curves in all the right places. Her navy satin Brian Atwood t-strap open toe pumps are the perfect finishing touch: They match, but they’re not matchy-matchy, if you know what I mean. Combined with her sleek high ponytail and light smoky makeup, her whole outfit screams, “I’m classy yet risky and I know it,” making this one red carpet look for the book!
The Company You Keep also stars Susan Sarandon, Terrence Howard, Sam Eliott, Nick Nolte, Brit Marling, and a whole string of other great actors. An action flick to keep you on your toes? We think so!
Tell us: What do you think of Anna’s colorful look?
