The First Annual Baby2Baby Gala was held in Culver City City, CA on November 3, and boy, was it a star-studded event. Attended by stars like Julie Bowen, and Mindy Kaling, the gala honored board member and ambassador Jessica Alba. Baby2Baby supplies Los Angeles families in need with essential baby gear and clothing for their children up to age 12. The organization distributes new and gently used items to over 40 non-profit organizations, serving over 50,000 children each year. Now there’s a cause we can get behind!

Unfortunately, though, the red drapey thing Heroes alum Ali Larter wore to the gala ISN’T something we can get behind. Sure, the color is nice; but somehow, I can’t help but feel that this little number makes her look a good ten or fifteen years older than she is—and not in a good way. Bear in mind, Bettys, that Ali is only 36. That’s right: When she graced the silver screen clad in nothing but that infamous whipped cream bikini in Varsity Blues, she was only a bright-eyed 23-year-old (1999, y’all).

I’m not totally sure what it is that bugs me so much about the dress. Maybe it’s the ballooning sleeves combined with the way-too-low neckline? Maybe it’s the hair and makeup, which look fine, but aren’t really doing her any favors? I don’t know. But what I DO know is that Ali looks—dare I say it—matronly in this getup. And let’s face: If there’s one thing Ali Larter is not, it’s matronly.

But maybe that’s just me. What do you think, Bettys? Does Ali look fab, or does she look drab?
