Long Distance Celebrity Couples
On-again/off-again lovers Drew Barrymore and Justin Long give us an intimate look at their special connection in ‘Going the Distance.’
-Carolyn French

Although the two had been best buds for seven years, Drew Barrymore and Justin Long took their relationship to the next level while filming He’s Just Not That Into You in August of ‘07.
The happy couple reveled in their romance for another year, and Justin was so taken with Drew that he invited her to Thanksgiving dinner at his parents’ place.
Sadly, the lovefest fizzled out (ironically right after talk of a possible marriage hit the newsstands) but the actors were determined to remain friends.
Then, while shooting their new movie Going the Distance last summer, something changed and Drew and Justin decided to give it another try. It didn’t take long for history to repeat itself though, as the pair split again in April of this year, got back together briefly, and finally called it a day roughly a month ago, according to sources.

If by any chance you’re still on the fence about seeing their endearing romcom, in theaters nationwide September 3, a recent interview with Drew may just give you a push:
“When we’re emotional in the movie, we’ve been there,” the 35-year-old divulged. “I loved getting to do a film with someone that I do have a history with. We sort of saw that as a surreal opportunity and maybe it will feel a little more relatable-to because it is kind of real.”

So in honor of the film’s theme, the long distance relationship, we present you with some of our favorite celebrity LDRs…

I’ve had wayyyy to many LDRs, but the key really is putting the effort in and finding those little ways of keeping in touch.
Me too Fashionista! It stops being romantic after awhile, then it becomes painful
I would never have an LDR– whats the point? Isn’t the whole reason to have a relationship for sex and having someone to stay in with on Friday nights?
@CityLady212, I totally agree!
Mu husband & I started out living in different continents. We spent our vacations & spare cash on trips back & forth every couple of months.. Spain to Canada.. Urgh a long flight. We married a year later on the beach and still love each other very much.. Would I enjoy being separated now. No way…
