Lindsay Lohan Sentenced to Jail Time

The actress was sentenced to 90 days in prison.

Lindsay Lohan is not a happy camper! After violating her probation by missing some of her mandatory alcohol education classes, Lohan has been sentenced to 90 days in jail followed by 90 days in rehab.

“I did everything I was told to do, I thought I was being compliant,” Lohan told Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel through tears. “I'm not taking this as a joke, it's my life and career. I don't want you to think I don't respect you and your terms.”

Lohan said she had a tough time making the classes because of her work schedule, but Revel wasn’t buying her story.

“I couldn't have been more clear [about my orders],” Revel said. “There are no excuses.”

Lohan will have to surrender to serve her sentence on July 20. She will continue to wear her SCRAM anklet until then. The good news for Lohan is that due to prison overcrowding, she’ll probably only serve a fraction of her jail sentence – then it’s on to three months in rehab.

I'd feel sorrier for her if I wasn't sure she'd be out in a few days, get a bunch more publicity from it, and then continue on her merry way. Unfortunately it's probably not the life-changing wake-up call she needs.

She absolutely deserves to go to jail. She doesn't seem to get the severity of her crimes. Maybe this will be enough to start her on a better path.

While she does deserve to go to jail- it really sucks that these pics of her crying are EVERYWHERE. We were all in our early 20s once and made mistakes without the entire world breathing down our necks.

I don't feel sorry for Lindsay at all. She has been mocking the court and the law for years now and it finally caught up with her. She has every means available to her to get the help she needs and SHE refuses to take it, so why should anyone feel sorry for her? Lindsay has gotten away with a lot more than any of us "average citizens" ever would and she's still not really getting the punishment she deserves.

Lets see what stunt she pulls this time...however long the sentence, it's not long enough...did you see what she had stenciled on her nails....that she kept holding up to the judge...this girl is one sicko...

Yes I was in my early 20s too, but I managed to (1) not get dui's (2) chase other people in my car (3) go out in public wearing micro minis and no panties (4) do hard drugs (5) repeatedly show up late for work or not at all and expect to get away with it, etc. Seriously, there are making mistakes, and there's taking a flying leap off the cliff of what's considered acceptable behavior in this society. I have some empathy for her in that her mother is an obvious enabler and keeping her from having that wake up call she so badly needs.

I know people have more dui that are not famous and have not had jail time then I have seen some of are celebs go through. There is one guy I know he had 30 dui's before they finally gave him jail time! The way served it was not 90 days consecutive ... weekends he spent in jail for a whole year! m-f he worked and went home to his kids and wife! Some people just have to live to be alive... It sounds more like she has a addiction to adrenaline rushes then anything!
