Christopher Meloni gets demanding on the set of Law & Order: SVU

According to on-set insiders, Christopher Meloni, who plays sexy Detective Stabler, hasn't been pulling any punches with his big biceps and is asking for - and getting - VIP treatment.

The rugged star showed his demanding side last week while shooting scenes in downtown Manhattan with ex-Prison Break star, Wentworth Miller. The pair were shooting scenes on location in the Meatpacking District in the hot July sun and while they seemed happy enough to pose for photos together and with fans in between takes, it was another story when it came time for an extended break. Chris insisted on clearing out the lobby and bathroom of the Standard Hotel so he could relax in the cool air conditioning without distractions.

"Chris sent his team in to make sure he had some privacy to prep for his next scenes," says my backstage source. "He's pretty specific about what he wants after 10 years on the show and he always gets what he asks for. At this point, the crew knows him and tries to handle it all in advance."

Chris recently renewed his contract with the show after some major drama and grandstanding over money at the negotiation table, but that's not the only area where he gets special treatment.

My source also tells me that all of Chris's shirts are one-time-wear only and the sleeves must be removed from all the dress shirts. The muscle-bound star can't stand to be constricted by the sleeves of a dress shirt under his suit jacket.

All I can say is, "This lady will have two tickets to the gun show!"
