Are there any good role models these days? Lady Gaga’s little monsters may have to look for absurd style elsewhere if the rumors in investigative journalist Ian Halperin’s new tell-all book are true.

The Daily Mail reports that in a candid interview with Star magazine, Halperin said, "She is sick and obsessed with her weight. One friend told me, Gaga will stare at herself in the mirror for hours on end, analyzing and critiquing her body. It's an unhealthy obsession."

“From heroin to cocaine and ecstasy, her friends say that she has done every drug conceivable. You name it she has done it," Halperin told Star. “She's morphed into this caricature called Lady Gaga, who isn't even a real person.”

Halperin also accuses her of wearing elaborate wigs and makeup to hide the fact that her Lupus symptoms are worse than she claims. He says she’s trying to cover up red blotches and hair loss.
