Krochet Kids International Makes Handmade Gifts That Give Back
This season, stay warm while helping poverty stricken women. And check out KKi’s fabulous pop-up shop!
If you’re looking for a heartwarming way to keep your head toasty this winter, the search ends with Krochet Kids International (KKi). The nonprofit brand offers handmade crochet hats, scarves, bowties, and more. Most hats are priced at under $30. Score! Proceeds from each purchase help impoverished women in countries like Uganda and Peru create a brighter future for themselves and their families.
And if you’re in the New York City area, don’t forget to visit KKi’s pop-up shop. It’ll be stocked with special holiday goodies for you and your guy. You’ll also have the chance to learn about the organization’s efforts to help women rise above poverty through economic development programs. Want to spread some holiday cheer? Grab your girls and write personalized notes to the women in KKi’s program.
The pop-up shop will be located on the second floor of Rudy’s Barbershop (14 West 29th Street) from November 15-December 15, 2012. Hours are 10am-9pm Monday-Saturday and 11am-7pm on Sunday. Are you ready to heat up the holiday season?
