I find Kris Jenner repulsive the way she PIMPS OUT her daughters.

This is a great article. While I think Kris has crossed the line a few times (remember when she mass-produced a private calendar Kim made for Reggie??) the reality is that her kids aren't in rehab, they aren't crashing cars, they aren't falling apart. She is making the best of a crazy life and making sure her kids have the careers they want. I don't agree with everything she does, but it's obvious that she loves her kids and they love her. Yes the girls are making alot of money for doing nothing and I agree that it does appear there is genuine love in this family. But to say the girls are not train wrecks when compared to other young starlets is frankly setting the bar of what a train wreck is a bit low. Sorry, but getting married to someone you've known for 3 weeks is a bit of a train wreck - especially when the bride and groom admit they rushed into a marriage for ratings and the resultant cash. Sleeping around with multiple men and then going back to your ex boyfriend with a drinking problem who had a history of cheating on you and "forgetting to take a birth control pill" is kindof a train wreck as well. I give Kourtney credit for taking responsibility and really making a solid effort to be a good mother, but let's face it, she's a bit vapid and shallow so her ability to guide her son's character development is questionable. Khloe has been busted for drunk driving, has not taken professional responsibilities seriously that she would not have even gotten but for her sister's fame and the reality show resulting from it. Kim actually is the least train wreck of the bunch. She did have the sex tape issue, but she is possibly a victim on that one (although there are rumors she orchestrated it to gain the fame Paris Hilton got after hers). But since the sex tape, Kim has been the most stable of the bunch. The young girls so far have been nothing more than typical pre-teens. Their forays into modeling are not age inappropriate, but rather what is done in that industry. Let's hope they stay that way. And by the way, promoting a reality show about your daughters by showcasing them in skimpy lingerie is supposed to send the world what message about your daughters other than their only value is as objectified sex objects with nothing more to contribute to the world. Seriously, isn't that kindof like a train wreck as well. So I think you can say there is love in this family, but they are train wrecks and willing to sell their soul's and dignity for money. I don't see how you can call that great mothering.

Actually, I agree with Cathy! Even though the Kardashian sisters, for the most part, have no talent other than capitalizing on their reality show, I do think that this is a tight knit family. Sure, Kris is the ultimate stage mother, but she has smartly
parlayed her family into a multi-million dollar fortune. She has birthed six children and she has done something right! I think Bruce is a stabilizing influence in the family and the most grounded. (LOVE his new haircut! I had a poster of him on my wall when I was in high school.)
At the end of the day, her children are trying to make lives for themselves, and I think Kris is a loving, concerned mother who is ALWAYS there for her kids.

what do I think? I think you, the author, is quite nuts! 1. for actually watching the show and 2. for admitting it. Like a smoker saying he's no quitter. Jeez.

I agree with the author..they really do seem down to earth despite all the fame. I like how they seem real. Just like most non-famous sisters, they fight too :)

I love Kris Jenner, and am a fan of the show.

I'm a total fan of the show... they're totally nuts & dysfunctional which makes them a REAL family! It's nice to see that no matter what they go through, they always come back together at the end and are happy that they're a family :)
