Enjoy those cupcake boobs while you can, because Katy Perry has just announced that she’s getting ready to take a break from music—for an entire year. Oh noes! Whatever will we do?!

Actually, we’ll probably survive just fine without Katy’s sugar-coated breasts, though we will have to find someone else with questionable style to make fun of. Katy is currently on the last leg of her California Dreams tour, which spanned the globe and played a whopping 122 shows. According to the New York Post, though, as soon as the tour wraps up, she’ll be taking a year off “work on her family.” The Post went on to elaborate by saying that she’ll spend the time with her hubby, Russell Brand, and that they’ll be trying to start a family.

Now I’m imaging a whole brood of tiny Perry-Brands running around, and I’m not sure whether I should be laughing my head off or running away in terror.

Anyway, this is especially interesting in light of the fact that Katy Perry has recently joined the list of people the public is inexplicably certain are pregnant. (Seriously! What is this obsession over whether or not stars are pregnant?!) Although she apparently told fans at her Madison Square Garden concert last Wednesday that she’s not pregnant, but merely bloated from eating too much New York pizza, she did also reveal to Ellen DeGeneres earlier in the month that she’s looking forward to having kids.

According to Music News, Katy told Ellen, “Yeah, I would love to have children. I think that’s one of the reasons you get married, especially to the person that you marry. You think, ‘That person is going to be a good partner, a good parent.’” Just think how crazy it would be having Russell Brand and Katy Perry as your parents! Katy went on to say, “If it doesn’t hurt the first time, I’ll keep popping them out.” She’s such a delicate little flower, isn’t she, our Katy?
