Katherine Heigl: My Husband Can Be Very Self-Absorbed
The big-mouthed star of “Life As We Know It” worried her husband was too “self-absorbed” for fatherhood.

Katherine Heigl can’t seem to help making controversial comments, and her interview in this month’s Redbook is no exception. While discussing the challenges and joys of motherhood, Heigl manages to undermine her husband. Charming!
“He’s a great dad. I didn’t expect it: he’s such a guy,” Heigl says. “I adore him, I can’t imagine being with another man, but he can be very self-absorbed. Not in an egomaniacal way, just kind of in his own head and unfocused on anything other than his own stuff. So I was really surprised by how on top of it and how connected he is.”
So Katherine Heigl didn’t have faith that her husband would be a good father? Because he’s too “self-absorbed?” We’re sure Josh Kelley appreciates hearing such supportive words from his wife. It’s also pretty rich for an actress who called Knocked Up (one of her most successful films) “a little bit sexist,” to say that her husband is “such a guy” and thus she didn’t expect a whole lot from him in the fatherhood department. It’s hard not to wonder if Heigl is just making these things up to get press – she couldn’t possibly believe all of these statements she’s made, right? (Huffington Post)

Sometimes I think she forgets who she’s talking too and has word vomit.
I kind of love how she constantly puts her foot in her mouth. At least she’s consistent!
Actually, I do think she means all that stuff. Not that she’s self-absorbed or anything. *rolls eyes*
