
Super model Kate Moss has just inked her latest contract as the spokesmodel for Mango for their spring campaign. This is fresh on the heels of her lipstick collaboration with UK cosmetics company Rimmel London. She’s also created designs for Topshop and Longchamp in the past. And they say models aren’t smart!
Mango is known for cute and inexpensive fashions, but it may be that the brand has desires to go upmarket. According to a spokesperson for the company, they picked Moss to give the label a boost and for it to "become an aspirational brand."

How a company known for fast fashion will become an “aspirational brand” i.e. more expensive is a curious thing and one wonders how that’s going to play out. And how customers will adjust to it becoming chi-chi will be interesting. Especially in this economic climate.
