Pattie Mallette is the 34-year-old mother of Justin Bieber who as an 18-year-old single mom gave birth to him in 1994. Mallette raised Bieber as she worked low-paying office jobs and today is credited as having triggered her son's rise to fame after posting videos of him performing on YouTube, when a record exec accidentally clicked on one of Bieber's videos while he was searching for another artist.

Mallette travels with Bieber just about everywhere he goes, and when a scandal broke out last month about Bieber swearing at Australian TV staff, Bieber tweeted that he was relieved to be home receiving comfort from his mom.
